What this guide covers
What you'll need to rebuild yourself when your business switches from Square to Bloomber.
Before you start
- Your business handles the business-level Square export and setup — this guide covers what's on you as an individual provider.
Migration risks
- Your profile doesn't transfer. Whatever you had set up on Square — bio, specialties, portfolio — needs to be rebuilt in Bloomber directly.
- Your availability doesn't transfer. You'll set your working hours fresh.
- Your own payout setup, if you had one, doesn't transfer. Bloomber's payment routing is configured per business — check with your business about how payouts work in your new setup.
Migration timeline
- Before you switch: Accept your invite and rebuild your profile and availability.
- Switch week: Confirm everything's live before your business announces the switch.
- First 30 days: Adjust anything that doesn't look right as you notice it.
Steps
Phase 1: Prepare
Accept your business's invite. See Join your shop on Bloomber.
Phase 2: Migrate
Rebuild your profile, bio, and specialties. See Set up your provider profile, services, and bio. Set your availability. See Set your availability and working hours. Understand your payout setup. See Connect Stripe to receive payouts.
Phase 3: Verify
Confirm your profile, availability, and payout setup are all accurate.
Phase 4: Stabilize
Give yourself the first few weeks to notice anything that still needs updating.
What success looks like
- Your profile and availability are rebuilt and accurate in Bloomber.
- You understand how your payout setup works in your new business.
Common problems
- I'm not sure how I get paid now — Payment routing is set per business and per provider — see Connect Stripe to receive payouts or ask your business directly.
- My old client relationships don't show up anywhere — Client history doesn't transfer for any provider — you'll build your client relationships fresh through Bloomber bookings.
