What this helps you do
Run your business's calendar day to day — see what's booked, handle reschedules, and cancel appointments cleanly when plans change.
Before you start
- Your booking flow is configured and clients are able to book.
- At least one provider has real appointments on the calendar.
Steps
Step 1: Open your calendar
Your calendar shows every booking across your business — filter by provider if you run more than one.
Step 2: Review a booking's details
Open any appointment to see the client, service, time, and any notes attached to it.
Step 3: Reschedule an appointment
From the booking detail view, move an appointment to a new time. The client is notified automatically — you don't need to message them separately.
Step 4: Cancel an appointment
Cancel directly from the booking detail view when a client can't make it or you need to free up the slot. Depending on your cancellation policy, this may trigger a refund or a cancellation charge.
Step 5: Block off time you're not available
Block personal time or maintenance windows directly on the calendar so clients can't book into slots you're not actually available for.
What success looks like
- You can see your full day at a glance, across every provider.
- Reschedules and cancellations update the calendar and notify the client without extra manual work.
- Blocked time actually prevents new bookings from landing there.
Common problems
- A reschedule didn't notify the client — Confirm the reschedule was saved (not just previewed) — an unsaved change won't trigger the notification.
- I canceled a booking and the refund didn't process correctly — See Take payments, deposits, refunds, and in-person card-reader payments.
- Bookings are landing in slots I thought were blocked — See Troubleshoot booking conflicts, scheduling issues, and service-setup problems.
