Configure receipt delivery, wallet passes, and follow-ups

Last reviewed 2026-07-11

What this helps you do

Choose how clients receive their receipt after payment, add a custom message, and control the automated follow-ups Bloomber can send afterward.

Before you start

Steps

Step 1: Open receipt settings

Go to Settings, then Receipts & TX under the Notifications section.

Step 2: Choose delivery channels

Under "Receipt delivery," turn on or off:

  • Email receipts — sends a branded receipt email after each successful payment.
  • SMS receipts — texts the receipt microsite link. This is a free, transactional send — it never uses Bloomber Credits and is never blocked by your BC balance.
  • Apple Wallet passes and Google Wallet passes — show "Add to Apple Wallet" / "Save to Google Wallet" on the receipt.

Step 3: Set smart follow-ups

Under "Smart follow-ups," turn on or off:

  • Rebooking reminders — nudges clients around their predicted next-visit window.
  • Loyalty milestone alerts — reminds clients when they're near their next reward.
  • Win-back campaigns — reaches clients who've gone dormant.
  • Review nudges — asks clients for a review after completed visits.

Then set "Max notifications per client each month" (1–10) so follow-ups don't pile up on any one client.

Step 4: Set receipt details

Under "Receipt details," toggle:

  • Review prompt on receipts — shows a review call-to-action on the receipt itself.
  • Show tip summary — includes the tip line in the customer's receipt.

Step 5: Add a custom message

Under "Custom message," type an optional note (up to 200 characters) that appears near the bottom of every receipt — for example, a thank-you line or a reminder to rebook.

Step 6: Check the preview, then save

The receipt preview panel shows your logo, brand color, and custom message together as a client would see them. Switch between the list and timeline view to review every setting at a glance, then select Save settings.

What success looks like

  • Clients get receipts through the channels you've enabled, with your branding and custom message showing correctly.
  • Follow-ups go out for the automations you turned on, capped at the monthly limit you set.
  • The preview panel matches what you intended before you saved.

Common problems

  • My logo or brand color isn't showing on the receipt preview — This page only displays your existing branding; it doesn't let you upload a logo or change colors here. Update those in Brand Identity, then come back to this page to see the change reflected.
  • SMS receipts aren't sending — SMS receipts are free and never blocked by your Bloomber Credits balance, so a low or zero balance isn't the cause. Confirm the toggle is on, that the client has a phone number on file, and that they haven't texted STOP to opt out of messages from your business.
  • A client says they didn't get a follow-up I expected — Check that the specific follow-up type is enabled and that the client hasn't already hit the monthly notification cap you set.
